A Church with a Heart for God.

Grace in Christ.org is an internet ministry from the Christians who meet in the Bridgend Gospel Hall, New Cumnock, Scotland. Our joy lies in a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Our purpose by Grace is to Glorify Christ in all things, to grow in likeness to Christ and to reach a lost world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that His Grace alone is sufficient for this task and to this end He has gifted us His Spirit and His inspired Word, the Bible. These web pages are a record of what happens when The Spirit of God gives Grace to the people of God to enjoy the Word of God. May God richly bless as you listen to these messages.

Christ, The Cross and the Call of God
by graceinchrist on

The Bible in general and Hebrews in particular tell us about a great Saviour: Jesus Christ:

  • The Old Testament is His Prophesy
  • The New Testament is His Biography
  • The Apostles are His Testimony
  • Angels worship His Majesty
  • In Him the universe finds its Destiny

For a great Saviour there was a great work; the work of freeing His people from the tyranny of Sin, Satan, death, fear and futility (Hebrews chp 2:14-15) but His death at Calvary and in the power of His resurrection victory. Wouldn't it be great if He just spoke to me? If He just made Himself known. In Hebrews chapter 3 God does just that; after carefully preparing us by stripping away all distractions, He speaks! And the response?

  1. We harden our heart - choosing sin rather than Saviour
  2. We respond with unbelief - the message of Gods Son as our Saviour; giving His life for ours and paying the price for our sin at Calvary is too good to be true!
  3. We delay and fail to take the pressing demand of God for a decision "today" seriously!

Many heard the voice of God speak but few made it through! If God speaks and calls you to faith in His Son Jesus Christ we must be willing to:

  1. Let go of our sin
  2. Rest in His Son
  3. Act with urgency

"He that believeth is not condemned, but He that believeth not is condemned already for He has not believed on the name of the only beggoten Son of God." (John 3:18)

The Sower and the Seeds
by J Stewart Gillespie on

In this detailed study of Matthew chapter 13 Harry carefully examines the 4 types of ground upon which the good seed of Gods Word fell. After exposure to the good news of Gods forgiving grace in Christ some men find their minds distracted and the word of God is snatched away from them forever, others enthusiastically respond to the message and profess faith in the Lord Jesus but sadly there is little root and even less fruit, still others, full of the best of intentions find themselves ensnared and entangled with the many cares of this world and the little flicker of life that was there is soon chocked out as the air supply is cut off and the light drowned out by encroaching weeds. Only one in 4 bring fruit for God. Even within that fruitful patch of ground variable results are seen amongst Christians:

  • a 30 fold fruitfulness
  • a 60 fold fruitfulness
  • a 100 fold fruitfulness

Where are we relative to the ground and relative to fruitfulness for God?A deep, challenging and expository message from Harry Hunter.Well worth listening to.
